Story of how American secret agent pursued by enemy agents, hides out at remote English farm

Abkhazia, 1921. Alkhas, a Bolshevik underground worker, returns to his native village to strengthen Soviet power in his homeland. The main character Lesya is an orphan who lives in a remote village on the banks of a stream with her old grandmother Shura, whom the locals consider a witch. But in fact, Shura is a hereditary healer who has the gift of treating people. Since childhood, Lesya has been helping her grandmother to collect herbs for medicinal decoctions, and she treats a variety of animals that her fellow villagers bring her.

A young girl spends the summer as an intern at Lockheed, watching old stock footage of the moon. She decides she wants to let loose, so she goes to a party that will change her forever.

The story is based on Konstantine Gamsakhurdia's novel and depicts the social and political changes taking place in Soviet Georgia in the 1930s through the line of the main characters: Tarash Emkhvari and Arzakan Zvambaya.
